Should we let him go ahead with giving the notice and proceed with the eviction (and then inherit the eviction), or should we wait until we close and file a fresh eviction?

I'm not sure what type of loan you are receiving but assuming you are receiving a Fannie/Freddie loan then you have the right to file an "Appraisal Reconsideration". 

Many of these issues come about due to not filing the proper termination form or extension requests. 

My understanding is they want to do business in person for filings and foreclosures or have you found a way around that ?
