I would march into bankruptcy court and request that the judge not allow discharge, because the landlord had no right to due process.

I would say that it is possible that you can get higher rents than that but while tenants live in a construction zone they won’t be happy and it’ll eat into your piece of mind as well since they’ll be requesting different items along the way to help deal with ‘being put out’.

The rent increase request has been approved by the housing authority with higher rent obligation from the tenants so I need to wait and see what the tenants decide to do!
