Over 15 years of marriage in northeast Oregon, we have returned each year to a popular regional destination just a few hours away. 

@Ariel Vincent the area we are looking at has a couple universities and is a popular destination for both summer and winter outdoor activities and we know several people who have been successful with using airbnb at their properties.

Right now in most popular places debt is a good thing to have with positive cash flow and I would buy another MF property  that has enough units to cove my monthly expenses when combined with the others.  

I've also tried some of the popular NYC credit unions, however, they also follow Fannie guidelines.Please let me know your recommendations or which lenders you can recommend, thanks!

The better that the neighberhood looks will help you resale.You might consider your area is popular for closings might be your best area to select.  

This is just not the most popular topic on a REI forum.

If you do buy in a not so nice neighborhood then make it near a popular   street.

I live in an area of Colorado that is very popular with retirees - Grand Junction.

Southfield has been growing for some time and is a popular spot for renters.
