I have decided that since we are going to have the parking lot re-striped anyway, to just add an additional stripe along that walk way as part of the property improvement and also should show good effort as landlord. the post generated a lot more response than I was thinking lol. good to be cautious but I agree with you as far as not good to operate any business out of fear.

Once again I see by your language that you are aware of the potential problems inherent in each case.In negotiating it may be in your best interests to state your intentions generally but be exceedingly cautious about overstating your case and making these terms HAVE to appear in the contract.Things change and we are living in especially changeable times, though I doubt that in most jurisdictions you could enforce any agreement NOT TO SELL.
