In my case, a crappy little $500.00 claim means it's simply not economical (unless the filling body has a s-e-r-i-o-u-s grudge and money to burn) to pursue.

The exception to never is from an insured institutional lender, that's because a title company can insure over their holding period due to coverage and regulatory requirements on that institution.

I then went to the DBPR (florida's licensing body), and it was then that the company finally responded and remitted the money back to me.
