I've got a house that needs all new paint, any suggestions on color other than "off white" that you've used when oak trim is EVERYWHERE?

Central Durham: 403 Red Oak Ave. $170K, 1005 sqft.Holly Springs: 225 W. 

Prices in Seattle may be more-expensive, but appreciation and higher rents may make Seattles look like Blue Chip investments compared to cheap properties that don't appreciate quicly and where managing, maintenance and low rents make investors hate the real estate business.You have to do the math comparisons because properties in Seattle may cost more where you get less units, but the Seattle properties may appreciate better and the rents are higher and can be increased every year.

Chipping away at the debt and getting married seems like the most logical path.

I think th OPs response to this was also a little aggressive with youthful chip fully displayed on sleeve, however, chewing the meat and spitting out the bones, there's some good actionable advice here.There's an old saying that if a man is hungry and you give him a fish you've fed him for a day.

@Alexa S.Hi Alexa,I think to tie the oak cabinets and appliance colors together, Dark laminate counter tops, greige walls in the whole unit, and dark hood to match the range.Really though, you should find out what your close by competition (who has lower vacancy) looks like and compete against that.Good Luck!

All that does is add to the amount of chips in different piles, add to the amount of chips you need to recover before you can start winning (making a profit), and will leave you less money (chips) to work with to recover those lost chips (cash). 

You think chipping paint on the interior and exterior of a home built before 1978 is no big deal and you will sand it down and repaint it6.

So here is what I want to know: Who is house hacking in my area (Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Topsail, Leland, Oak Island), How has it impacted your life, what opportunities has it opened up to you, and why haven't you told everyone you know about house hacking!!!!!!

The neighborhood and property were great and rent was reasonable and so my roommates and I all chipped in for a fridge without much grumbling.
