So when you have a deal you email the lawyer the deal terms and whatever other info he needs he puts it into the template docs and advise your client roughly legal fees are xyz and the other costs of tile and so forth are standard. you want everything documented, all items notarized and recorded.

After a few years, he entered into a "option to buy" arrangement where the tenant would "float" an interest free loan as a "good faith" deposit to be in a "right of first refusal" to purchase the home from my friend (notarized and everything) in the near future.

@Ryan Johnston We've done it both ways, but usually the latter for convenience and speed.It kinda defeats the purpose of even having a properly executed and notarized LPOA if the bank won't recognize it.Either "power-of-attorney" means something or it doesn't!
