Hard money lending by personal investor

If I am interested in lending cash as hard money, what is the best way to get in touch directly with investors looking for loans or with company lenders?    How can I ensure security with private borrowers?   Thank you.

@Ginny West

You can find people here on BP or go to local REIA meetings when they open back up

Best way to secure your $ is to:

1. Run a background check on the investor

2. Run a title report on property

3. Have the note and a mortgage / deed of trust to secure your interest

4. Have them sign a personal guaranty

5. Get a resume from the investor on their property and projects - find out how they went and how they were funded ?
