Federal legislative policy (meddling) with a free market and the Federal Reserve Bank (which isn't Federal nor a real 'bank') with their interest rate manipulations are the two biggest factors affecting housing.The Fed cannot decrease interest rates any time soon to further stimulate the virus-stricken economy, (unless we go to negative interest) so their only weapon left is creating money out of thin air.

I would encourage everyone who has an interest in real estate to send an e mail to your Congressman or Senator asking them to implement another GOZONE  TAX  stimulus  like they did for KatrinaFor those interest the Gozone was the Gulf Opportunities act of 2005.what did it do.. .it created section 179 bonus deprecation for new construction in the affected areas and for rehab costs.Since homeowners will get Fema benefits ( hopefully investors are SOL)  this Massive tax deduction will stimulate all sorts of investment into the affected areas.. and they may as well keep it going right down to FLA as well.. if that gets hit.For all of you BPers who make post I quit my day job and are now real estate professionals you will qualify.. for all of you business owners in Houston you all qualify...

"Even if you only spend 15-20 min googleing and compiling some of the data, it shows self motivation and may demonstrate that you know enough of the basic key concepts and variables that an investor should be concerned with, so in turn you stimulate the pros and master level posters to want to add real in depth value, that is deeper or more insightful than what can be determined from a 15 min google search.
