Having a 16 yr old boy and girl in the same bedroom would be in violation of long standing HUD requirements.Here's the thing, management at the local level is up to the PHA or Section 8 Administrator and they may adopt policies in addition to HUD requirements, but not in violation of HUD guidelines.

This tenant gets use of all these anemities.. 2nd fl. being a smaller unit 1 bedroom ideal for a single guy or girl or a couple at best.This works well for alot of reasons: The family on first fl. is looking for the comfort and feel of a single family which they are getting, 2nd fl. person is just looking for a place to eat/sleep/study etc...

the girl wants to lose the roommates though. we probably gross about $5200/mo together.i was considering losing the roommates and downgrading to a 55K condo (900 sqft), but i think the double closing costs to get there washes the deal.but being able to invest the 11K each we would have left over after the switch certainly peaks my interest. . .i would suggest to you to buy what i would in your situation: the least amount that makes you happy, no marble mansions necessary.
