I am not an expert in either lead or FHA, but here are a couple thoughts for you to look more into.By lead in the unit do you mean paint?

The property you choose, is based on satisfying the financial requirements for that deal, at that time.Simple.  

Screening is definitely an area I studied up on beforehand, and having a large graduate student population to choose from definitely gives me more confidence.

Since then, we've analyzed at least 75 deals across multiple markets, developed our buy box, and choose a strategy that aligns with our goals.

We have minimal resources as far as money goes, but we have a relatively long list of upgrades (window treatments, hardware, light fixtures, paint, etc).

We painted the inside, opened the kitchen/dining room, replaced windows, removed a nasty fabric lined black tub from the basement, replaced the siding and redid the bathroom.

There are many duplexes and multi-family existing housing available to choose from. 

We did remodel on this one with new lighting paint, auto gate etc.  

A borrower must choose his or her own contractors to perform the needed renovation.Ø All Contractors participating in the HomeStyle Renovation Program must complete a Contractor Profile Report.

With so many banks to choose from and me already doing thorough research, I was hoping someone had a personal good experience with a certain bank or an individual at a bank who understands our world.
