I would not have been able to do the 35k to adopt without having the year I had last year on my rental income.And like the other poster, while I was in the Ukraine for 7 weeks last year and not collecting any paycheck from work (FMLA is without pay but at least they guarantee me a job to come back to), my rents still came in.

When they were about to take off the neighbor next door came over to their car and told them there had been a homicide in the house and of course- they were so spooked they ended up not putting an offer.
