We got a hotel for the duration, but I had to go buy a small battery-operated pump to drain the sump pump well twice a day.Having said that, I wouldn't let the lack of a basement be a deal breaker.

I got a beat up one that could be reconditioned for 100 dollars plus 13 dollars for the part plus 7 dollars tax. $120vs299 echo backpack blower 195 mph at 465 cfm (closest i could find to it without rearranging the engine) at a bargain this blower is available for about $250.

I see storage facilities of all types around here from boats and rv's parked in a wide open (fenced) grass pasture, to a professionally built facility with units ranging from open, to covered, to enclosed and locked with 50amp outlets for batteries and water hookups.

The big thing is they always check the smoke and CO2 detectors so always have the batteries replaced and have some batteries (and a step ladder) on-hand just in case.
