One helpful tip I can offer is on the county clerk's site they publish liens, judgements, and citations that have been issued to the owners for any violations and such.

Usually any lender would require anyone making a note to execute the security agreement as well, so if there were other parties, co-borrowers or guarantors their names will also appear in the security assignment....so I see no issue of secrecy or privacy except that filing a note publishes all the terms and conditions.
