The home skirting was 2 feet in the back and 8 feet tall in the front.

But the insurance companies feel that flying debris can puncture the windows and glass doors and cause water damage even on elevated floors. 

-Replacing just glass $150 w/ labor -Replacing whole window $300Sub flooring (holes/softness)... -$400 (not bad)-$1,000++Any big ticket items.... like A/C, water lines, electric issues, etc.? 

Take it with a warm glass of milk late at night...

However, I would consider (and I have done this) putting up a nice tall privacy fence to wall them off so that the unit was easier to rent for the future.

Take the sash out, take it to them, they take it apart to measure the glass, you put the window sash back in, they order the glass, you bring them the sash again, they replace the glass, you put it back in the window. 

He owns his own glass company, does several flips for people that know him and he takes a part of the equity for his work.
