If they cash flow, keep them.STR in destination locations, high growth areas, with a cool (not too large property) close to the action (walking distance if possible) where you yourself enjoy visiting / vacationing.

Currently have one duplex, and in the middle of one brrrr, have a HELOC but planning to use that to self fund more brrrr’s and have cash but looking to put that into a STR in a vacation destination to offset some of my W2 next year.Haven’t seen much discussion about low/no money down loans, so thinking they aren’t a thing, but there are at least a handful of properties that i know of right now that even with 100% funding would cash flow a couple hundred per unit after all reserves.

Hello everyone here is the problem:I was on cruise control getting sfrs and rehabbing and leasing up till I hit the skids with the "more then 4 mortgaged" homes and they will no longer allow me to cash out on what I own at LTV.

It's tough to compare to our rental place in Maui since it's a big vacation destination all year there where as here in the mountains, it looks like it can be thin in the non-ski months.
