If tenant is responsible for the cost of clogs, they will be willing to fix the issue especially with it virtually always just taking the turn of an Allen wrench and pressing the built-in circuit breaker button.

I would say, if there is money to be made, go forward, especially as your 1st, press thru to a final conclusion, the learning experience is key.

I informed him I wasn't able to get to the house right then and there and that he'd have to try to disable the alarm himself by pressing a button on the smoke detector or taking the batteries out.
