There's no reason to pay down principal on a 4.4% loan when you can get double/triple that in returns reinvesting the cash flow.

I bet if you look a little harder you will see more MH's around, they are not all straight metal blocks, many are double and triple wide homes with dormers and inset porches, wood or vinyl siding and composition roofs they have evolved to be rather pleasing.
