First of all, major retailors charge thousands for furniture and electronics they have manufactured over seas for pennies and I did emphasize on the "over priced" crappy 10k necklace zales sold me for over 1.5k that probably amounted to 40$ in gold weight. 

Also, I've seen people push their upholstered furniture right up against electric baseboard heaters and then crank them up to 90 degrees because the lack of air flow makes it take forever to heat up the area.  

They are all being done for less than $300/sqft all in with the lot and furniture.

Whatever you look at I encourage you not to do what everyone else is doing for example a basic log cabin with rustic furniture and a wooden bear statue, there are hundreds of those and it provides your potential guest no reason to pick you over anyone else's cabin.

My wife and I were also staging the houses for sale, moving furniture between them, getting them ready for sale, and running the books.
