This starts early on with preventing what could potentially go wrong by attracting an awesome tenant and looking at what vulnerabilites currently exist in your property.  

And potentially pay for their own buyer-agent.What prevents a buyer agent from misleading a buyer and demanding the signing?

I think the known and unknown tax implications prevent many Canadians from investing south of the border. 

It will make your decisions a lot easier and hopefully it will prevent you from having "bad" tenants.

As with any system quality install and regular preventive maintenance are required. 

Furthermore, there was a greater emphasis on preventing the claim or incident from occurring in the first place. 

We want to put the equity to use, but prices and interest rates are preventing any decent profit from the rentals we can afford.   

This would prevent newbies from being misled believing made up data that they found on BP.   

Dont know your total situation , this idea may suck big time , BUT , if this prevents a major hit on your credit or a bankrupcy , you still have a roof over your head and it gives you time to regroup .
