Hello everyone - I'm seeking advice:I'm finally at a point where I can purchase my first entry level condo in Los Angeles County.

Since the beginning of the year we have seen mergers and layoffs at:….City National Bank to cut 56 jobs in Los Angeles (2/14/24)Guild Mortgage acquires Academy Mortgage (2/13/24)Proprietary Capital acquires American Financial Resources, LLC (2/12/24)1st Priority Mortgage to acquire Hudson United Mortgage (2/6/24)Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. to shutter wholesale lending division (2/2/24)Newrez layoffs (2/2/24)New American Funding (NAF) to acquire Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.

The property is in Memphis, however I live in Los Angeles.

It may depend on the hospital too, but it seems like the nurses in Los Angeles search for their housing when they get a contract. 

I have a rental property (townhouse) in Los Angeles.

I actually know contractors and flippers in Los Angeles who would gladly do the investment and construction with no desire to hold rental property.

I want to house hack it’s just that the price of entry is too high in Los Angeles.
