They are most likely using offshore remote workers, who may not really know what they are doing.

Would it be beneficial to have someone that is an expert in vacation rentals, vs just some offshore VR thats extremely cheap?

The problem with our city is that the local chemical & energy industry has diminished over the last 10 years going off shore. 

@Russell Brazil  yup you guys have it tough with reports having to be hand done at the courthouse.out our way each title and escrow company has their own title plant that's all digital. and most have moved off shore to the Philippines or other places.. so while we sleep they are working up title commitments. so we don't have any abstractors out this way.. if someone has to go to the court house its very rare.

It may be overkill for your specific situation or not enough (maybe you would need adding offshore asset protection too).

And if you plan to have a larger note operation, it might make sense to form your investment company off-shore.

Source of the money would be offshore banking/oil business so to speak. 

Essentially what you do is borrow fund at favorable rates, and the security for the lender is provided by a mortgage or lien over the available equity in the real estate asset, and the loan proceeds are directly transferred into an Offshore trust.

The DIY is possible with time invested in education and treating your investment like a business or offshore it to a good property manager. 

Either self-manage like many on here do, or hire an inexpensive offshore PM who works US hours & speaks eloquent English (that’s what I do).
