I don't have much experience with VA, but, from my research there isnt anything specific in regards to asbestos that would disqualify the property. the only exception would be deteriorating insulation, etc. that would pose a health hazard.I would still advise you to do your own research as I have no personal experience with this.

Remodeling on vacancy is our big one, but:- Insulate attic- add storage pallets in basement @$x a month- water pressure regulator where the line comes into the house.- water efficient heads- Chicago controls thermostats- coin op laundry was our move this year- big ticket item but I am still a kid when I empty the quarters 👍 - make room for parking on the property- additional $- turn the boiler down.

Since its a gut rehab down to the studs, it requires new plumbing, electric, some new framing, roof, floors, windows, doors, paint, trim, insulation, drywall, recessed lights, kitchen, 2 small decks, garage door, porch repair, re-concreting driveway, landscaping front yard and back yard (very small lot 2,200 sq ft).
