Flushed that 2k down the drain -- literally.

I am sending this article from New York Times to all my tenants.Wet Wipes Box Says Flush.

While having Christmas eve dinner, I received a phone call from one of my tenants that the toilet is plugged and will not flush.  

She called the city and demanded that they come and flush the fire hydrant across the street.  

Recent toilets (the past 10-15 years) use about 1.6 gallons per flush. 

My sympathy is based on my being a space cadet who was always late when I was a renter, no matter how flush I was.

Once they became aware, they stopped.I also make it very clear when they move in that if they flush anything down the toilets that they didn't eat first will be an expense that's billed to them if a plumber is required.

When the stock market was flying rental investments in these areas sold well to people flush with stock appreciation.

You can always cut and face your countertops flush with the side of the cabinet(s), so they do not protrude into the cavity for the range.The range will normally be a little deeper than your countertops.If you do not have the width for a 30" range, then an "apartment" sized (24") range is an option.  

Not sure how that flush's out in cap rate.
