The thing I would recommend is inspect and replace all plastic/rubber plumbing parts.

His mother had a couple of open-heart surgeries due to smoking as well, but she smoked until the day she died.

I have a nephew that is in a wheelchair, his faculties were ok a few years ago until he stopped breathing twice after a surgery he had.

She needs a surgery, hospitalization, stay in rehab care facility and some assistance with daily living for the rest of her life

I explained a couple options; she could do rugs on the hardwood floors, plastic on the windows, etc.I must have caught her on a really bad day.Her response was less than favorable.

These 'devil' screws have additional pieces of metal or plastic that act as anchors and designed to expand behind whatever it is screwed to (drywall, wood etc), to spread out the weight n the hanger or the screw reventing the scrw from slipping out through the hole (and in my case with little chance in hell of ever trying to remove them).

No so easy to you'll need plastic sheeting, brushes, rollers and primer for the paint.

Honestly, I would use the cheap plastic ones and expect to replace them.
