IKEA's prices seem to have gone up more than I would have expected over the past 2-3 years.I believe you can get the 'soft-close' drawers/doors with most any cabinet maker today.Good luck!

With the exception of kitchen appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, etc.) and some bathroom appliances (hair dryers), a lot of electrical apparatus have gotten much more efficient.

I have secondary money maker, which I wouldn't have if all the equity was plowed into your residence.

Where I am a $2000+ tenant expects door handle locks and pop up drains and ice maker plumbing hook ups.  

Is the $1500 you would make really worth it or would you end up paying yourself $5 an hour?

Once again, the style of the house guides the style indoors. 

Other possibilities include companies that provide indoor climbing walls, theatre groups and bands that need rehearsal space, athletic groups that need to train in winter (lacrosse teams, roller derby.)

I already have estimates for the repairs, should be under 10k for everything to make rent ready.
