It was nice to visit... but the first 30 minutes of being in town was the hotel van driver telling me how worried he was about the storm they were expecting that was on its way.It all made me a bit nervous... but the storm just passed on by.

It's no fault to the builders, efficiency is not yet a market driver, so they have not incorporated it into their product.The only highly efficient homes around here (2-Passivhaus and a handful of millennial homes) were custom builds and higher end - with the exception of the new Habitat home.

It sounds like it's an empty property that would be losing money each month, so you as the buyer should be in the driver's seat.  

That video brought tears to my eyes.Then, the video mentions something like people who earn $150k, or $300k (can't remember) tell everyone they don't earn enough money to purchase a property.Then, there is the story I told 100 times on BP about the 20-year old Japanese girl who ran away from her parents in Japan, arrived in this country with zero money, never got a job, never had a driver license, never had a boyfriend and in 7 years she owned (financed) 18 condos and single family homes in upper middle-class neighborhoods and she called me on the phone and told me she had purchased a $550k house in Las Vegas and another house in Victorville California making her total 20 houses.It was strange when I met the Japanese girl in 2001 because I had just purchased my first apartment building that was 28 units and she saw me working on the apartments every day and she wanted to hustle me for free work and rides all over the city.

One of the richest guys I know drives a trash truck but he has drivers for the other 149 trucks he owns .  

Driver around all the streets and look for vacant houses.

The market should be a huge driver here.

You always want to see what the job situation (and future job situation) is going to be as that is the biggest driver of real estate values.

I am currently in over the road truck driver and I love my job.
