It makes sense for me to play to my strengths (aka being an American REI in England.)

Since, MF is a team sport, you must decide where your strengths lie and where you need to partner up.I “mentor” (hate using this word) small, focused groups.

You should play to your strengths in every offer- sounds like your partnering with an experienced investor- is he/she the money partner and mentor, or something else?
