YOU can't do anything. except write up a unauthorized tenant living in unit as lease infraction. that will either be remedied by adding the new person on or booting everyone in the unit.The police won't force the new roommate out.Check landlord tenant laws for your state and comply with that.As long as current tenant gave access to the unit, it's the tenants problem not yours unless you press the unauthorized tenant issue.. as far as my experiences have shown.

I tried to call IRS, but after number of buttons pressed, it just told me that they "don't handle such questions any longer"I understand that there is a new ruling according to which landlords/real estate investors(us) have to issue 1099 to our contractors when their cumulative charges exceed $600.

If tenant is responsible for the cost of clogs, they will be willing to fix the issue especially with it virtually always just taking the turn of an Allen wrench and pressing the built-in circuit breaker button.
