I’m looking to start cold calling but instead of using my personal cell or add a line for it , I want to get a virtual system with a number or 2 any recommendations?

Usually they will not answer their cell phone.  

Your lease should spell out who to contact for emergencies and repairs and the METHOD of contact.If you only put your personal e-mail and phone contact then they wouldn't have had your job e-mail address and it sounds like you would have gotten the notice from the tenant THAT DAY.Most landlords can check cell phone and e-mail on the phone as well so either should have worked unless you have a spam filter etc.
