I have a truck bed tool box, and aside from having a tool bag (separate) that has most any hand tool you could need, the box has spare fuses, a plumbing snake, rubber boots for a wet basement, a drill & saw, a little bit of wire, etc.

Sounds like you've done the education, good luck on getting your feet wet! 

Also during the ownership you can increase the value by improving the property and getting your feet wet.

There are lots of warnings about not wet mopping a laminate floor.
