If I get the house for 55k I am essentially paying 30k for the loan (about 1 month) and the rehab:1) siding2) roof3) 11 double-hung windows, 4 glassblock windows4) clean yard5) repair fence6) replace attic windows with vents7) replace garage door8 ) install lattice around porch9) troubleshoot plumbing/electric, make all minor repairs10) LR-patch/paint, new carpet11) DR-patch/paint, restore hardwood floor12) Kit-drywall ceiling, replace countertop and backsplash, install vinyl floor, install new door to basement13) Hall-install new thermostat, patch/paint walls, new closet door14) Bath-???

(equipment expensive and not all journeyman purchase)  There was a collapsed line of about 2 ft(slab house)...So it was a fairly easy fix, after founding the main problem...The camera painted the entire picture..Best trouble shooter...GL

I said OK, I have spent more than $100 so far on my time which is more than the price of a new fan so it's no longer cost effective to trouble shoot the UPC number.

How to do simple sheetrock repairs, how to lay a floor, how to roof (this has made me more money than any other skill) how to do basic electrical work, how to do simple plumbing repairs and replace water heater, faucets and toilets, and how to "troubleshoot" a heat and A/C system.The gurus always say to ignore this stuff, for the formal education you just "need my course"!

Inspectors have general knowledge about most problems, but that doesn't mean they will know how to troubleshoot anything on a professional level.

You may be able to trouble shoot it yourself.

She has the relationships and deeper knowledge of trouble-shooting city issues when they arise.  

I also learned how to trouble shoot and repair simple issues to increase the longevity of my appliances.
