I appreciate that other people appreciate my service, but I think you should be a soldier or sailor or cop or fireman or whatever because you feel it's your calling, or your duty, etc and you shouldn't expect nor feel entitled to anything beyond whatever the deal is when you sign up.

I've met many, many Soldiers who've had to stay in a little bit longer to "pay bills," "not ready to retire" (like you didn't see this coming a couple of years ago?)

As most Fort Campbell soldiers migrate further away from Ft Campbell for their housing needs (exit 8, exit 11 etc) Oak Grove will hopefully wither and die off. 

To hold the soldier accountable if they miss rent or violate the lease.

Single family or Rent by room to 3 or 4 single soldiers.  

I still need to visit Puerto Rico, a solid Soldier from PRARNG just retired after like 30 years, but still does US Postal service all across the island!

I was an officer in the Army and had to withhold several soldier's pay for unpaid rent.5.

Also Fort Hoot is huge and has a large capacity for soldiers, but as force levels change there are wide swings at times as to the number of soldiers stationed there.

Do what your Father tells you to do, without complaining.If he wants you to get up at 6:30 am and go with him to paint walls--just do it like a soldier--even if breakfast has to be missed.In other words, even if you are tired and having a bad day...do what you are assigned to do--and get it done--on time--on budget--in a workmanlike (not kid) manner (without complaining).Show your Father you are man enough to handle things like a man--without quarreling with him, or dragging your feet.Learn to do that, and you guys will be a formidable team--and your Mother will be impressed.Good Luck!

You should also be aware there are no soldiers on the army base.
