I've seen people in need make incredibly bad decisions for them (but great for me!) 

This is a great topic of discussion as I've been wondering the same thing myself. 

It’s a great reminder to trust your own due diligence and not let others make critical decisions for you, like hiring a property manager.For future investments, building a trusted team and maintaining direct oversight is key, even with remote deals.

Your relo benefits will likely govern this decision more than other factors.

It creates far more visibility into the company's operations, their investment decisions, etc.And lastly, you get to the overall ability of the sponsors.  

Both are duplexes and have been a great decision for me.

I would recommend just reading up more on both industries and make a decision from there.

It turned out to be the right decision because we got an all-cash offer pretty quickly.Once all was said and done, we netted $200k in profit.

This decision increased our budget from $15K to $45K, but it turned out to be a wise investment.
