@Brendan Moehn I actually house hack in Aurora through short-term rentals and I've had good luck, sure Aurora has a small college but that's not the only reason people visit from out of town, we have the paramount theatre, Fermi Lab in Batavia, concerts at River's Edge Park and   You don't have to worry about having to get a rental licensed by the city of Aurora because they're only there for a weekend or week.  

I can hear Medusa from my house and the concerts when they have them too.

Now, normally, I do that and don't think anything about it, but I'm making a concerted effort to place some value on my own expertise.

Not only do you watch for criminal activities you also police your own area.All of these aspects need to be coordinated to work in concert to demand change and compliance.
