It's probably like  the habitual chain smoker of 80 years is more healthy than the guy next to him who just smoked filter cigarettes for just a few years, and died from lung cancer.Do good, every time you can. 

Great piece of advice I heard from another landlord: when someone comes to view the apartment don't ask them if they smoke, ask them, "So how many cigarettes do you smoke a day?"

The floors are trashed: crappy carpet with cigarette burns throughout.

Busted doors inside, cigarette butts everywhere outside, dog pee soaked into the carpets and padding, beer splashes all over the walls, complaints from neighbors.

Laundry room etiquette, where to put cigarette butts, outdoor furniture rules, etc.

If it's clean and has a bunch of updates I don't want anything to do with it.I want the piece of garbage that smells like cigarettes and is infested with rats.

The Lessor shall not lease or sell the units within fifty (50) feet of Lessee's demising wall to the following users(s): a) Bars, taverns, billiard halls; b) Pawn shops; c) Dance studios or Karate studios; d) Beer or wine-making stores; e) Psychological counseling offices/facilities; f) Unemployment or Social Security offices; g) Liquor stores; h) Tattoo shops/body art/piercing tenants; i) Beauty/Hair Salons, Cosmetology Services, or Nail Salons; j) Gun and Weapon shops; k) Smoke/Tobacco or Vapor/E-Cigarette shops; l) Child Care/Children's gymnasium; m) Dry Cleaning Plant facility; n) Veterinarian/Dog Grooming/Animal Boarding; o) Gym/Workout facility; p) Same day cash/loan shops; q) Massage parlors (except for national chains such as Massage Envy and the like); r) Police substations; s) Military recruiting offices; ort) Any other non-professional use similar to those listed above.

I did go check it out after and it still reeked of the cigarettes they were chainsmoking all week along with some used band-aids hanging from door frame (meth stuff?)

I feel like I should just send a friendly reminder-like letter saying that the lawn care is their responsibility, as well as picking up the cigarette butts as I posted about earlier.

I am turning a unit in Omaha with an inherited tenant whose unit contained, grease all over stoves and vents, cobwebs/dust on walls, really bad odor (cigarettes), blackened floors and shower.
