That's what I run into several times a year when Im working with a potential seller...but they never took the tax consequences into mind since they were not considering depreciation recapture....or the fact that their actual gain is not the net sales proceeds, but rather the delta between the purchase price and sales prices (or really the difference between the cost basis of each)
