There is a chance you could make more money with a short-term rental but it takes work and savvy and is not as easy as most people make it sound.Short-term rentals rent for a higher rate, but they come with far more expenses:Lodging taxSales taxUtilitiesTV and InternetConsumables (soap, shampoo, TP)FurnishingsMarketing costsTransaction feesCity/County/State registrationThat's just a quick list off the top of my head.

If I want drama I turn on daytime soaps. 

The real issue could be anything from its truly sporadic, dishes could be overloaded, baking sheets covering the soap dispenser, or the tenants expectations are just unreasonable.So at what point to do just replace it or tell the tenant that they'll be charged if you have another visit that finds nothing? 

Whenever i do a bathtub or shower, I get nice tile with a built in soap holder.

Things like...soap (P&G), food (AWG), clean water, Monster energy drinks, toilets, medicine, coffee, beer, and everything tech related.  

In our AirBnB we pay, water, sewer, power, garbage, Netflix, 6500 in startup capex for furniture, decorating, towels, monthly expense in cleaning fees, monthly expenses in soap, coffee, toilet paper etc.

Take a small bowl, put apple cider vinegar and a squeeze of dish soap in it.

Toilet paper, dish soap, dish scrubbers, light bulbs.
