I am looking at investing and selling raw/vacant land in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, North & South Dakota.

If you are focused, motivated, eager to learn, and willing to work it will bear fruit. 

The issue with finding raw information by newbies is turning that information into investor applied strategies and that is also being done for them if they have a good BS Meter and can stand reading without being told they will be rich in 6 months.It's really my generation that has spoiled the younger ones, my son wants a new car in high school, he gets a new car, needs the hottest tennis shoe, he's gets it, he needs a new Northface jacket, he gets it, he needs a hundred bucks for a date, he gets it, he needs, he needs, he needs.

I want to buy some raw land for $100,000 and have it increase by 50,000 in two to three years.

Many people into buy-and-hold want a portfolio of cashflowing properties free and clear so that they can enjoy the fruits of their labor instead of toiling away for an optimal ROE their whole life.

So I have requested info from my county on people who own raw land and are delinquent on their taxes but my question is what other important data fields I should request.

They will move on to lower hanging fruit.

@Josh Walker, it can be difficult to mesh up the gears for a  construction model and an imminent 1031 especially since it's a family member and might be a related party which throws all kinds of obstacles up.They could 1031 into raw land, lots, or infill/rehab properties that you could then partner up on. 

When the fully developed stuff gets down to raw land prices it's time to hop in and benefit from the last developers forfeited equity.
