@Lloyd LauThe simplest way around may be to find a partner who is a Canadian citizen - though I would shop around with the lenders to see if they will still penalize the partnership if you are involved.

However, I am a Canadian and there may be slight variations in the interpretation of the shared Common Law that governs both nations excluding Quebec.There is a very defining difference at law that everyone on this thread has either over-looked or doesn't understand.
