Because they know they are not the only ones seeking these properties.Want-a-be's- Have no direction, Use to be locators, have taken several get quick investor courses, Work 9 to 5, Not fimiliar with the praise"time is of the essance", Trying to low ball the seller to were they wont even entertain the contract etc...Only you can say what the situation was to cause you and your locator to lose contact.

@Ivan Oberon This is the exact idea I had just to use someone else's POF then set a settlement date for a few days after I close on my other property, my only concern was since the bank is only entertaining cash only offers and my POF would be coming from someone else wouldn't that be considered a personal loan and not cash offer?
