My recent OCREIA meeting pretty much affirms the fact that CA is just a special child when it comes to all this - exceptionally low inventory and exceptionally high demand.  

Do not know if it is legal, but when I was young I was kicked out of my HOA community for having a 2nd child when they only allowed max of 3 people in 2 bedroom, and when I had my 3rd child many apartments would not rent a 2 or 3'bedroom to a 5 person family..
