You have an enormous amount of resources available to you; review the pod casts, become active in groups in your local area and select the geographic area you wish to invest in and start on your journey.

Great post...oh the stories, we could all write a book.On a rental gut/rehab we had removed the old cast iron plumbing out of the upstairs ONlY toilet & everyone was told not to use it.

But I believe the numbers were right.To get started I have been watching pod casts, over 50 so far I would guess, and I'm on my third book this month about real estate/investing.
