I see several apartmant style properties , but not sure if the town is good with duplexes.My issue :If I have a city lot that is zoned for duplex or SFH and is big enough for either one.The idea is a duplex will bring in 6-700 a side or a large SFH will only get 9-1000 .But how do I know if the town will sustain the duplex?

So the real return on your original investment drops each year (you have to amortize that initial match over the life of the 401k).Our ROI for SFH has been in the 30%+ range every year. 401k can't even come close to the sustained return on investment.
