It seems that RE professional qualification would change rental income from passive to active and not count for the $3600 limit.Question is as follows: can proceeds of a RE sale (held more than a year) also be considered active income for a RE professional with regard to the EITC.

We work remote W2 and also have heavy cash flow to leverage for qualification.

The advantage for the buyer is usually easier qualification, but they might pay more over time.
