I've heard grumblings that HELOCs are going to be few and far between for the next bit... nothing really to substantiate that other than other's opinions.If you are going to refinance and cash out that $100K, my lenders are telling me to wait for a bit until the pipelines clears and rates come down a bit (and yes, they could go up as well... we just don't know). 

When you are not a pet person, houses that have pets, even ones that are responsible have a pet odor.

If allowed, tenants should acknowledge in the lease that it is allowed, and neighbors’ odors may be present.In the present situation, I think the only issue that needs addressing is the marijuana smoking.

Cat odor is certainly a challenge.

The previous owner had cats and there is a strong urine odor coming through the floors by the kitchen.

I had to replace all the carpet due to smells and stains and re-painted the room to further eliminate the odor, former tenant refused to pay and blocked communication from me to her to avoid the payment. 

We have had success with either offering these to a tenant or getting them to purchase their own to remedy the smell as the carbon media captures the odor. 

These mats were quite expensive ($40-$50 per piece x 15) and now have a musty odor which we have not been able to removeShould I be concerned?

I have an Ozone generator I use between tenants to kill odors, mold and bugs.

It could have a pet urine odor, mold or musty smell.
