I sent the landlord a letter with 23 pictures using certified mail with return receipt. 

Reonomy is about $400 a month, but I have been doing mailings and 30% come back. 

I don;t understand this: the wholesaler spends his/her hard-earned money to send out postcards/letters to mailing lists and then, if they get a positive response, they don't follow up!  

I would add it to FB market place and craigslist (though you may get a lot of junk email, spam calls on the latter)

we call those junk fee's the issue is simply marketing.there is a race to the bottom on APR and points..

No knocking on doors, no "the check is in the mail." 

If you're willing to put the time, strategies like cold call, direct mail, door knock, PPC, social media might be worthwhile.

You could certainly ask them although I would note, they'd almost certainly never figure out you were gone especially if the mail, utilities, etc. were all in your name and you were in fact there half the year or so. 

I mailed my application last week and am now waiting for the results.
