Don't let inaction stop you.  

I know so many bright and intelligent men who are in this business who are frozen with fear and inaction.

Did REI happen upon you, or did you have a solid plan in action?

The market slowed for me for a while so I place my RE license on inactive.

No matter the structure, this usually works best when one or two take the active participation role while the rest take an inactive role.With that in mind, you will want each person to compliment rather than conflict with the group.

Unfortunately the seller didn't even counter, so I can't restructure the offer without knowing what they want need, so I'll have to put it in the inactive file and move on.

My advice from someone who did get licensed, just get access from an inactive agent.

In my neck of the woods, there are brokers who will hold your license even though you are inactive.

My wife has had her license for a while and recently has ton inactive and we are both about to put our license with the same broker and work together on selling.
