Newbie from Tucson, Arizona
Hi all,
My name is Matt Carpenter and I'm a student studying economics. I've always been interested in the idea of real estate and income streams. Within the next year or two I hope to get more involved and ideally purchase a duplex to rent with the possibility of "house-hacking."
I have been looking into my local REIA and plan to join as soon as I get the chance. As of right now I am just reading everything I can and trying to gather information.
My current goal is to start evaluating properties in my area to get a feel for the market and the process in general. So any tips on obtaining and verifying information like property income/expenses, lease agreements, and tax bills would be much appreciated. Interested to hear what you guys think of the Tucson housing market and looking forward to becoming a valuable member of the BP community!
