Like other REAs, they have their share of "gurus" who sell their wares, but from your post, it looks like you are mature enough to discern the real opportunities from the "shiny" stuff.To be clear, I don't work for CFRI, so this is not a promotion; I joined this local assocation back in 2014 and it gave me the foundation for my direction in real estate and allowed me to build a healty nest egg.  

I had a lawyer I've used in this town but not happy with them... so I just looked online... hard to discern who really does RE... but the firm I called came up under that title "RE" and they said they did handle this kind of thing. 

Some people want to be in the suburbs, others want the urban core.To answer your hypothetical question regarding two exact same houses with different foundations, there would be no discernible valuation differences between the two, however a buyer may prefer one over the other.
